If you love what you do ,you will never work a day in your life.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Truly understand the data and numbers . Understand why your doing the work and the functionality. We, as accounts have to understand our level of accountability and the level of understanding that organizations rely on our accuracy .
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
There is a lot of aid being cut for non profits and on a whole a lot of people who donated prior are not donating as much. There's a lack of security in grants coming from federal government which is effecting the non profit end of accounting the most.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I love to help people and I want to help others. I am a mom and I have nurturing spirit which helps balance my ability to tell a colleague in a nice way how to improve a task or even being able to direct colleagues politely and professionally.I believe in being humble and be willing to receive feedback. You should always treat others they way you want to be treated.
